Automotive applications require relatively high chemical resistance, reliable service at low and high temperatures, and good wear resistance, which can be well satisfied by fluoropolymers.

The current megatrends of electric mobility, new ecology, and digitalization have brought new challenges and opportunities to fluoropolymers. The biggest feature of the automotive industry in recent years is that it is facing increasingly stringent exhaust emission standards, the size of the engine continues to shrink, while the performance continues to improve, the car is getting lighter and the production cost is getting lower and lower. Fluoropolymers can withstand high and low temperatures in the machine room, corrosive liquids and fuels, moisture resistance, vibration resistance and high pressure. Therefore, they are also commonly used to produce fuels, sliding elements, cable sheaths and sensors.
